MBA fantasy team Yavapai Swashbucklers have signed free agents Steve Nash (G) and Marquis Daniels (G/F) for at least the first four weeks of the 2004/2005 season.

To clear up roster space for the transactions, the team let go off Jamal Crawford (G) and Jamal Mashburn (G/F).

Said coach 3M: "We love Mash to death but he wasn't part of our 2003-04 playoff birth. Nash and Daniels will battle for a starting job in our backcourt. We believe!".

Nash (career 63 games, 18.0 fppg) was previously released by the Naughty Koalas on march 25 after the end of the regular fantasy season, while undrafted 2003/2004 rookie Daniels enters the MBA for the first time.

Leaving players, fantasy veteran Mashburn (career 107 games, 18.5 fppg) and fourth year guard Crawford (10 games, 17.4 fppg) both now enter the MBA's unusually busy offseason free agent market.
