The Yavapai Swashbucklers became the first team to record an action in the 2010/2011 MBA fantasy season, signing rookie free agent forward Tiago Splitter to a four-week contract lasting until and including week four's fantasy games. The brazilian forward enters the MBA for the first time, having just recently entered an NBA roster to qualify for free agent status in the fantasy league.

In order to clear roster space for the Splitter signing, coach 3M chose to cut guards Aaron Brooks and Wilson Chandler from the fantasy team roster. Both players were free agent additions during the 2009/2010 MBA season.
