OGRES RELEASE CHAUNCEY BILLUPS
MBA fantasy franchise Meaty ogres have released veteran guard Chauncey Billups after the team's roster reached 13 active players in week 17's fantasy game versus the RimRockers.
Billups was cut from the Ogres for the second time this season. He was left off the roster to clear space before the 2008 MBA Fantasy Draft in early offseason, but was re-signed as a free agent as early as week 3.
The now 32-year old Billups has averaged 21.20 fppg as a key bench player for the Meaty Ogres for four straight seasons (66 games, 10 starts), ranking him seventh on the team's all time list in Fantasy Points average.
Billups became the second prolific veteran guard cut from the Ogres' team within a few days, joining former fantasy teammate Allen Iverson, who was released earlier this week.
