MBA fantasy team Yavapai Swashbucklers have waived second year forward Yi Jianlian. The release was a result of roster overflow in week 3's fantasy game against Jacob's Basketball Hold. The return of injured forward Carmelo Anthony brought the roster count to 13 active players, and SB coach 3M had in advance informed the MBA league office of his wish to cut Yi Jianlian from the roster in such case.

Yi Jianlian was passed up by all fantasy teams in the 2007 MBA Draft, but was later signed as a rookie free agent by the Swashbucklers before the start of the 2007/2008 season. He has appeared in just two fantasy games for the team, scoring 23 FP and -1 FP.
