With first pick in the 2008 MBA Draft, Ole's Overlords select... Derrick Rose. Surprising lottery winners Ole's Overlords drafted point guard prospect Derrick Rose to strengthen the fantasy team roster for the opening of the 2008/2009 MBA season.

To clear room on the roster before the draft, coach Ole released the 2006 second overall pick, Adam Morrison (5 games, 5.60 fppg), and five season team veteran Mehmet Okur (64 games, 17.72 fppg).
