Hours before the 2008 MBA Fantasy Draft, Thisted Tigers Basketball cleared roster space by waiving Jamario Moon and Manu Ginobili. With eleven players left on the roster, coach Nils proceeded to select center Marc Gasol with the seventh pick in the draft.

Ginobili was the team's sixth man in 2007/2008 (17 games, 20.59 fppg). He leaves the Tigers' roster after three seasons, and has MBA career stats of 56 games and 17.23 fppg. Moon was signed as an undrafted free agent rookie in 2007/2008 (1 game, 16 FP).
