Fantasy team Naughty Koalas have signed free agent guard J.R. Smith to a four week contract spanning week 6 through 8. To clear roster space for the third year guard, coach Mads chose to release forward/center Samuel Dalembert.

Undrafted in 2004, J.R. Smith first entered the MBA fantasy league as a free agent rookie signing by the Naughty Koalas in week 13 of 2004/2005. He was released by the team in early 2005/2006 with only one fantasy game on record, coming off the bench for an effective 9.5 FP against the Swashbucklers.

Smith now returns to the team for a second chance to stick on a crowded 14-man roster.

Dalembert was released after having started all five of the team's games this season. Originally signed as an undrafted rookie alongside Smith in 2004, he was released and later re-signed in 2005/2006. Dalembert's second run with the Koalas was also cut short. His MBA career statistics are 18 games (8 starts) for a 15.83 fppg-average over three seasons.
