SWASHBUCKLES WAIVE JEFFERSON, RE-SIGN CURRY
Less than two days before the 2006-2007 season opening, MBA fantasy team Yavapai Swashbucklers have released forward Al Jefferson and re-signed forward/center Eddy Curry.
Jefferson originally came to Yavapai as a rookie in a six-player swap with Jacob's Basketball Hold in 2004-2005, but failed to earn a place in coach 3M's rotation for one and a half seasons (1 game, 5 bench FP).
Curry was the Swashbucklers' highest draft pick in the 2001 draft (2nd overall), but was released this offseason prior to the 2006 MBA Fantasy Draft after sporting a five season average of 13.74 fppg in 27 games and 4 starts.
Curry now gets a second chance to secure a place on the SB roster.
