Forward Andrea Bargnani has been selected by the Naughty Koalas with the first overall pick in the 2006 MBA fantasy draft.

With several options at hand, coach Mads chose to bring in the young italian prospect, adding more old world flavour to a roster already with european born players Pau Gasol and Tony Parker. At 20 years of age, Bargnani enters Wagga Wagga as the youngest player on the team roster.

With the last draft pick of the first round (acquired in trade from Meaty Ogres), the NK called out forward Shelden Williams to complete the initial roster for the 2006/2007 fantasy season. At 6-9 and 250 pounds, Williams adds depth to a big man arsenal including Jermaine O'Neal, Pau Gasol and Samuel Dalembert.
