Eddy Curry (F/C) has been cut from the Yavapai Swashbucklers' roster to clear space for the 2006 MBA fantasy draft pick, Rudy Gay (F), selected fourth overall.

Curry was drafted second overall by the team in 2001, but never hit a breaktrough season. In five seasons he produced a subpar 13.74 fppg on average in 27 games and 4 starts, with his best season in 2003/2004 when making 16.29 fppg unmod. in 7 games.

With the release of Curry, only two first round picks from 2001 remain in the fantasy league, Kwame Brown (RimRockers) and Pau Gasol (Naughty Koalas).
