KRSTIC SIGNED, BIBBY AND SZCZERBIAK WAIVED
On the first day of the new (off)season, the Yavapai Swashbucklers moved to sign free agent forward/center Nenad Krstic. Signed to a four-week contract, Krstic will be with the team until and including at last week 4 of the 2006/2007 season.
To clear roster space, coach 3M released guard Mike Bibby and guard/forward Wally Szczerbiak, both free agent pickups from 2005/2006.
Krstic (6 games, 10.00 fppg) enters the Swashbucklers´ roster for the third time in less than two seasons. He first entered the league as an SB free agent signing in week 11 2004/2005, was traded to Jacob´s Basketball Hold only two weeks later, who in turn waived him at the expiration of his free agent contract in week 15.
Krstic later re-entered the Swashbuckler camp in the 2005/2006 offseason, but found himself cut from the roster once again in week 11.
Neither Bibby (2 games, 13.00 fppg) or Szczerbiak (11 games, 19.45 fppg) managed to stick on the roster this time around, both players appearing for the third time with the Swashbucklers.
