RIMROCKERS RELEASE HAKEEM OLAJUWON
RimRockers have released legendary center Hakeem Olajuwon, ending a glorious fantasy basketball career with the franchise.
Coach Lauer of the RimRockers stated in connection with the transaction: "Due to Hakeems unique contributions to the MBA's RimRockers, this release is the most difficult transaction the current GM/Coach has conducted. Hakeems contributions to the RR's have been at the core of the early success of this franchis, and in the latter years of his career he still managed to find ways to contribute even as his playing time was reduced due to various reasons. The RimRockers will retire his jersey once Hakeem retires from the NBA and promptly move it to its proper place in the rafters at midcourt in Midgaard. There the jersey will hang in the rafters beside other immortal heroes of Valhalla. This way the 'wise guy will always be on top' courtside hopefully inspiring the newlook RimRockers to achieve the same level of oncourt excellence in the game of basketball, that Olajuwon has provided the RimRockers with throughout his standout career."
Preparing for the upcoming MBA fantasy draft, RimRockers also cleared three forwards from the roster: Kenny Thomas, Desmond Mason and Donyell Marshall were all released into the MBA free agent market.
