Less than three hours before the start of the 2003/2004 MBA season coach Mads made a final roster adjustment, releasing recently drafted rookie guard Kirk Hinrich (1st round, 7th overall) and (re)signing free agent guard/forward Ricky Davis to a four-week contract.

Davis entered the league as an offseason free agent signing by the Koalas in 2002, but was initially waived before the 2003 draft.

Now back with the Koalas after a brief free agent period, Davis will get a chance to continue his MBA fantasy career (9 games, 16.0 FP/game).
