The Meaty Ogres got lucky in the 2023 MBA Lottery for the second year in a row, this time getting the second overall pick, which coach Brian turned into guard prospect Scoot Henderson. The Ogres chose to release Christian Wood before the draft in order to clear roster space for the pick.
