SWASHBUCKLERS CUT NICK VAN EXEL FROM THE ROSTER
The Yavapai Swashbucklers have released free agent pickup, guard Nick Van Exel, after 12 weeks on the roster (3 games, 14.0 fppg unmodified).
A preferred hired help by Swashbucklers' coach 3M, Van Exel leaves the Arizona desert team for the third time in five seasons (78 games, 17.6 fppg unmod.).
Van Exel's fantasy career spans over all 12 MBA seasons, and includes numbers of 125 games (48 starts) with 16.5 FP/game average (unmod.) for teams Jacob's Basketball Hold, Naughty Koalas, Thisted Tigers Basketball and most lately the Swashbucklers.
In 2000/2001, he deservedly received the MBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award after averaging 11.1 fppg in 16 bench games for coach 3M.
